About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join a supportive educational team in Conway, SC. This is a valuable opportunity to grow your skills and make a lasting impact on students who are blind or have low vision. In this role, you’ll design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to each student’s unique learning needs, ensuring full access to the educational environment. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state education regulations
  • Apply instructional strategies and integrate assistive technologies to support student learning
  • Adapt materials and environments to accommodate students’ visual needs
  • Provide specialized instruction based on each student’s IEP
  • Collaborate effectively with staff, families, and related service providers

Requirements

  • Active state licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience within the last 5 years
