The student monitor is responsible for supervising students throughout the campus to ensure their safety and well-being during school hours. They also facilitate peaceful conflict resolution and report any suspicious or unsafe conditions to school personnel.

Job Summary Under direction of the site principal or designee, assists in the supervision of students throughout the campus to ensure safety and well-being of the students.

The supervisor is responsible for all aspects of safety during ingress and egress of the school site, ensures compliance of school procedures and rules, and monitors student behavior and activities.

Assures campus safety by reporting suspicious or unsafe conditions to office personnel.

Facilitates and guides students in resolving conflicts peacefully.

Develops positive relationships with students and families.

Requirements / Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent First Aid and CPR certified (may attain certification within the first four months of employment) Criminal Background Clearance TB Clearance Mandated Reporter Trainings Salary $22.20-27.17/hour Length of Work Year 180 days per year Employment Type Part Time Hours: 3.40 hour per day/5 days per week Location: Alamo Elementary Probationary Period: 6 months Application Deadline: 08/14/2026

Requirements

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and obtain First Aid and CPR certification within four months of hire. The role also requires criminal background clearance, TB clearance, and completion of mandated reporter training.
