The Graduate Assistant will support the head and assistant coaches with practice and competition supervision, video analysis, and administrative planning. Additionally, they will assist with strength and conditioning, fundraising, community engagement, and the recruitment of student-athletes.
Serve as an assistant to the head and assistant coach(es). Assist with on-site supervision during all practices and competitions. Assist in the overall operating and planning of practice and competition. Assist with computer and video analysis. Assist with community engagement activities and fund-raising projects. Assist with strength and conditioning program. Assist with academic study table. Assist with recruiting qualified student-athletes. Assist with instruction and training in the sport. Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach. Required Qualifications: Admission to East Stroudsburg University. Graduate school application may occur at the same time 'as applying for the GA position. Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Successful criminal background check. Ability to work nights and weekends. Computer competency. Valid driver's license. Excellent communication skills. Ability to complete all NCAA-mandated online training for coaches. Ability to complete all ESU-mandated online training for all employees.
Graduate student in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, or Sport Management preferred. Prior experience as an intercollegiate student-athlete preferred. Ability to multi-task preferred.
