About the role

The Behavior Technician provides one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes to help children develop communication, social, and daily living skills. They are also responsible for implementing treatment plans, collecting session data, and collaborating with supervising clinicians.

As a Behavior Technician, you'll work one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them develop communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), one of the most effective evidence-based therapies available.

New to ABA? We’ll teach you everything you need to get started. No previous ABA experience is necessary. We provide paid training, hands-on learning, and continued support from experienced BCBAs to help you feel confident and prepared in your role.

What is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)? Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach that helps children with autism and other developmental disabilities learn meaningful skills that support greater independence in their everyday lives.

Through personalized, engaging sessions, Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with children to strengthen communication, social, play, coping, and daily living skills. Using positive reinforcement and individualized strategies, they also help children develop safer and more effective ways to navigate challenging behaviors.

ABA is all about celebrating progress—whether it’s learning to communicate a need, completing a daily routine, interacting with others, or reaching a new milestone. Each session is an opportunity to help a child build confidence, develop new skills, and become more independent at home and in the community.

What You'll Do As a Behavior Technician, you will

Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation Collaborate with supervising clinicians to support client progress Communicate professionally with families and caregivers Attend ongoing training and team meetings

Typical Sessions: 2–5 hours per session Children primarily ages 3–17 years Afternoon and evening schedules

What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor's degree preferred) Experience working with children is a plus, but not required Available a minimum of 15 hours per week Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance and registration Willing to travel up to 25 miles from your home for client sessions Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills Comfortable learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply
