Description Western Reserve Academy (WRA) is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Swim Coach for the 2026-27 season. The Assistant High School Swimming Coach supports the Head Coach in developing a competitive, positive, and student-centered swim program. This position is responsible for assisting with daily practices, meet preparation, athlete development, and fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth among student-athletes. The Assistant Coach serves as a positive role model and helps create a safe, organized, and inclusive environment.
Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting daily swim practices. Promote a culture of sportsmanship, leadership, and personal growth in line with WRA’s values. Supervise student-athletes during practices, meets, travel, and team activities. Assist with meet preparation, including lineups, meet setup, timing, scoring, and event organization. Support team logistics, including transportation and equipment management. Communicate effectively with the Head Coach, student-athletes, parents, and athletic department staff. Provide mentorship and leadership to student-athletes both in and out of the pool.
Previous competitive swimming and/or coaching experience. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the team as required.
