Coach Counselors provide for the physical, personal, and health needs of each student through individual counseling and behavioral, social, physical, and educational skill development. They provide a supportive environment, monitor and document student behaviors and activities, and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities. Coach Counselors collaborate with professional staff to support each student’s treatment plan and perform standard paraprofessional duties related to program operations. They typically report to a Group Leader or higher authority, with operational supervision provided by a Senior Coach Counselor.
Canyon State Academy is located on a scenic 180-acre campus surrounded by Farm student housing for 300 + youth, a Thrift Store, Café, Barbershop and Church open to the community incorporating life skills for our students. Along with a fully equipped weight room, football stadium, an athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room & more).
$23.74 per hour
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to pass bilingual (English/Spanish) assessment.
Minimum 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents.
Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have at least one year of experience in the child welfare field. Additionally, applicants must be bilingual in English and Spanish and hold a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
