About the role

The Ambassador engages, equips, and empowers coaches and athletes to fulfill the FCA mission through discipleship and spiritual leadership. They are responsible for recruiting and training volunteers while maintaining biblical standards within their assigned sports environments.

The Ambassador serves 15 hours or less each week in a defined area by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to fulfill the FCA Vision, pursue the FCA Mission and live the FCA Values. In the FCA Sports Environment(s) [https://recruiting.adp.com/portal-upload/RMPOD3WebDocument/2022/11/clientdata_1170951/8/1815/e749e8e9-eb94-430e-b427-b9697db2990e.pdf], the Ambassador implements a consistent approach to discipleship -- making disciples who make disciples. The Ambassador is accountable for ensuring that the FCA ministry is conducted according to biblical standards and adheres to FCA policies and procedures.

Ministerial duties

  • These responsibilities are critical to the FCA mission and this position plays a vital role in our ministry. FCA expects all functions and responsibilities outlined below to be carried out with a heart surrendered to serving God as a form of worship.
  • Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.
  • Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
  • Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
  • Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.
  • Ministry advancement
  • Engage, equip, and empower coaches, athletes and volunteers by ministering through 1-on-1s, Huddles and Events.
  • Work alongside the supervisor to train and equip volunteers to empower coaches and athletes to be disciples who make disciples.
  • Talent advancement
  • Work alongside the supervisor to recruit, train and develop a diverse group of volunteers in assigned Sports Environment(s) with the purpose of leading every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.
  • Donor advancement
  • Supervisor may ask to engage in support raising by connecting, communicating and caring for donors with appropriate training.
  • International advancement
  • Work alongside supervisor to serve the aligned International Region by praying, giving, and going.

Berry Creek Middle School, Eagle Valley Middle School, Vail Christian High School, Vail Christian Academy, Gypsum Creek Middle School, Battle Mountain High School, Eagle Valley High School, Homestake Peak School, Eagle County Charter Academy

Garfield and Pitkin Counties

Developing and overseeing ministry at Glenwood Springs High School, Glenwood Springs Middle School, Carbondale Middle School, Roaring Fork High School, Basalt Middle School, Basalt High School, Aspen High School and Aspen Middle School.

Summit County and Lake County

Developing and overseeing ministry at Summit High School, Summit Middle School, Snowy Peaks, Lake County High School, Lake County Intermediate School and Colorado Mountain College Leadville Campus

Chaffee and Saguache Counties

Developing and overseeing ministry at Buena Vista High School, Buena Vista Middle School, Salida High School, Salida Middle School

Garfield, Rio Blanco and Moffat Counties

Developing and overseeing ministry at Grand Valley High School, Grand Valley Middle School, Rifle High School, Rifle Middle School, Coal Ridge High School, Riverside Middle School, Meeker High School, Barone Middle School. Craig Middle School, Moffat County High School

Northwest Colorado and Central Rockies Fellowship of Christian Athletes would like to hire Ambassadors to focus on specific communities across the area. The ideal candidate will have a history in the area he or she hopes to serve in.

Requirements

Candidates should have a history in the area they intend to serve and be committed to the FCA Christian Community Statement. The role requires active participation in a local church and a heart for spiritual ministry.
