About the Role
- Hello, Paraprofessionals! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time 1:1 Paraprofessional for a school setting in Longmont, CO. In this role, you’ll provide dedicated, individualized support to a student with medical needs, helping them feel comfortable and fully participate throughout the school day. You’ll work closely with the student, school team, and other support staff to provide consistent, compassionate support. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring paraprofessional who enjoys building a strong 1:1 relationship with a student, collaborating with a supportive school team, and making a meaningful impact every day. - + 401(k) with company match Ongoing support and mentorship Mileage reimbursement between sites + referral bonuses What You'll Do Provide 1:1 or small group support to students in the classroom Assist with implementing behavior plans and classroom strategies Support students with academic tasks and daily routines Help reinforce social, emotional, and communication skills Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment Support students with transitions throughout the school day Maintain basic documentation as needed What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills Ability to follow direction and support behavior and academic plans School-based or paraprofessional experience is a plus About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
