The Mother’s Day Out Teacher provides a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment for children enrolled in the weekday program. This role partners with families by modeling Christ-centered care, fostering early learning, and introducing children to foundational truths about God in age-appropriate ways. Through consistent excellence, warmth, and professionalism, this position supports River City Community Church’s mission of more people living real life by passionately following Jesus.
Classroom Leadership & Childcare, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9am-2pm, 12 hours per week Create and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
Supervise children in accordance with established ratios and safety standards.
Implement curriculum and daily lesson plans provided by the program.
Introduce simple, age-appropriate biblical truths.
Lead age-appropriate activities including learning centers, crafts, play, music, and Bible time.
Model Christian character, kindness, positive behavior management and redirection techniques.
Ensure toys and materials are properly cleaned and maintained.
Assist with snack time, restroom needs, and basic childcare routines.
Collaborate with co-teachers and assistants to maintain a smooth classroom flow.
Communicate professionally and warmly with parents during drop-off and pick-up.
Report any concerns regarding behavior, illness, injury, or developmental observations to the MDO Director.
Participate in required meetings or training sessions.
Follow all River City Child Safety policies and emergency procedures.
