We’re looking for a warm, creative, experienced educator to work with three curious young learners—ages 7, 5, and 3.5—as their family builds a more personalized, home-centered approach to education.
This is a full-time, long-term position with a family in Brentwood, Tennessee.
You’ll create meaningful, hands-on learning, build strong relationships with each child, and take real ownership of an educational model that will continue to evolve.

Student Profiles You’ll work with three siblings who already love learning and bring very different strengths, personalities, and needs.
The oldest, age 7 and entering second grade, is a gifted, twice-exceptional learner with an ASD diagnosis.
He is a strong problem-solver who learns quickly, thinks systematically, and loves understanding how things work.
He thrives with intellectual depth, clear expectations, and predictability.
He needs a teacher who appreciates how his mind works, provides meaningful challenge, and stays calm and encouraging when frustration arises.
The middle child, age 5 and entering kindergarten, is bright, creative, social, and relational.
She is performing strongly academically and is ready to be stretched while protecting her confidence and enthusiasm.
She thrives with adults she trusts and enjoys creativity, storytelling, conversation, and purposeful challenges.
The youngest, age 3.5, is joyful, expressive, musical, social, and always moving.
She learns best through play, movement, music, stories, sensory experiences, and plenty of room to explore.
The two older children currently attend a local private school part-time, while the youngest attends a Montessori preschool.
The family is thoughtfully transitioning toward more learning at home, with the long-term possibility of all three children learning at home full-time.

What You’ll Do Own the design and delivery of the children’s home-based learning, creating engaging, hands-on experiences responsive to each child.
Collaborate with Thrive’s Educational Management team to select and tailor curriculum, while owning lesson planning, implementation, assessment, and progress monitoring.
Bring learning to life through projects, building, experimenting, reading, writing, cooking, outings, and real-world experiences rather than relying heavily on worksheets or screens.
Differentiate across three developmental levels, including gifted/2e learning, elementary instruction, and playful early-childhood learning.
Build strong relationships with each child through dedicated 1:1 learning as well as collaborative sibling experiences.
Lead clear communication across the educational team, including the family, Thrive, the children’s schools, and other professionals when appropriate.
Stay connected to what the children are experiencing at school and use it to inform home learning—what’s working, where they need more challenge or support, and what might work differently at home.
Monitor growth and adjust instruction accordingly, prioritizing engagement, confidence, curiosity, and genuine understanding alongside academic progress.
