About the role

The assistant coach will support the head coach in managing the cross country program, including practice sessions, competition coaching, and national recruitment. Additionally, the role involves designing competitive strategies and providing mentorship and guidance to student-athletes.

Brandeis University seeks to hire a temporary, Assistant Coach for Cross Country to assists the head coach in running a successful cross country program which competes as a NCAA Division III program and as a member of the University Athletic Association (UAA).

This includes practice and competition coaching, recruiting student-athletes at a national level, design and implementation of competitive strategies and advising and mentoring our student-athletes.

The assistant must understand and promote the mission, goals, values and educational ideals of Brandeis University, as well as the mission of the Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation.

Education & Work Experience: BA/BS required.

1-3 years of coaching experience is preferred.

This is a part time position, approximately 5 hours a week.

Fall Semester - 8/16/2026 - 11/15/2026 Spring Semester - 1/16/2027 - 5/15/2027 Total pay for both seasons is $2500 Pay Range Disclosure The University's pay ranges represent a good faith estimate of what Brandeis reasonably expects to pay for a position at the time of posting.

The pay offered to a selected candidate during hiring will be based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience and education/training, internal peer equity, and applicable legal requirements.
