The Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans to support the academic, social, and physical development of young children. Louis.Job Summary Simon Says Early Childhood Center is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and physical growth of young children.

This role requires a passionate educator who can foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff while promoting a love of learning through hands-on and play-based experiences.

Job Responsibilities

Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities that support early childhood development.

Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning.

Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.

Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through structured and child-led activities.

Observe, assess, and document children's progress and developmental milestones.

Use positive behavior guidance techniques to support student growth and classroom management.

Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.

Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administration to provide high-quality educational experiences.

Prepare and organize classroom materials, learning centers, and instructional resources.

Ensure compliance with all center policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety standards.

Support children's development of early literacy, math, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare center, preschool, or early learning environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification upon hire, preferred.
  • Commitment to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all children.
  • Passion for early childhood education and helping young learners reach their full potential.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma, with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Previous experience in a childcare or preschool setting is highly desired, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
