About the role

The Graduate Assistant provides administrative support to the Academic department by managing dual credit applications, digital files, and data entry. They also assist with textbook list maintenance, faculty contract tracking, and course material updates.

About the Job The vision of the Colorado Christian University (CCU) Academy is to provide affordable dual enrollment opportunities for high school students to help cut costs for families, prepare students for college, and provide an avenue for high school students to graduate with a high school diploma, CCU college credit, and even an associate's degree at the same time when they choose to pursue the A.A. in Liberal Arts track.

The CCU Academy Graduate Assistant works within the Academic department of CCU Academy. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Curriculum and Instruction to provide administrative support to the Academic department. Key job duties include aiding and supporting the dual credit application process, digital file organization, data input and management, and other duties as assigned.

Contribute to

CCU’s mission: Christ-centered higher education transforming students to impact the world with grace and truth. In this role, the Curriculum Development Graduate Assistant contributes to the mission by supporting the Academics department of CAGS Curriculum Development to provide Christ-centered higher education to high school students. Report to and support the Curriculum Development Coordinator in managing and upkeeping systems and processes as they relate to CAGS courses and the university LMS. Assist with the upkeep of the master textbook list. Assist with the tracking of textbook edition updates. Check for overdue faculty contracts in monthly reports. Regularly review the schedule for updating CCU-created course materials. Respond to common email questions using provided templates. Assist with the desk copy request process and keep the log updated. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to drive a vehicle, fly by plane, and/or use other modes of transportation.

Graduate Assistant Program Details

The Graduate Assistant position is a minimum of a two-year commitment and coincides with the entrance into and completion of a graduate program at CCU. Students may take 2-3 years to complete their academic program, depending on the program selected. Graduate Assistants are expected to complete a minimum of two years of service, and to stay in their role through the end of the fiscal year (June 30) in which they complete their graduate program.

The Graduate Assistant must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university and be accepted and enrolled in one of CCU’s graduate programs. The standard workweek is 25 hours per week and will not exceed an average of 29 hours per week during the year.

Compensation includes a wage of $15.16 an hour and tuition waiver for completion of a master's degree through Colorado Christian University's College of Adult and Graduate Studies. The recipient is responsible for student fees each semester. Any selected graduate assistant is required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have results sent to CCU for review. Application Status Applications will be accepted until position is filled.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and be accepted into a CCU graduate program. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are required.
