About the role

The Assistant Teacher is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children while maintaining professional relationships with parents and staff. They must also implement school policies, follow curriculum directives, and manage classroom supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

● Greet each child by name and acknowledge parents during drop off and pick up times daily. ● Ensure the safety of each child. ● Maintain confidentiality of school directives, curriculum and software. ● Read, understand and implement all policies and procedures of The Gardner School and all State Licensing Agencies. ● Maintain professional and positive relationships with the parents and coworkers. ● Advise the Director or Assistant Director of any supplies needed for the upcoming months. ● Follow the standards set forth for the conduct and responsibilities of all staff members who come in contact with children. The anticipated pay range for this position is $15.30 – $20.70 per hour. The actual starting rate will be based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and qualifications. Assistant Teacher Desired Skills and Experience: One year professional experience Must love working with children and have a loving and nurturing personality. Excellent communication skills, including personal face-to-face communications with parents, staff, and children. Strong organizational skills. Computer literacy required. Assistant Teacher

Minimum Qualifications

BS or BA degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education or related degree preferred. Intermediate PC skills Possess a valid driver’s license Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Requirements

Candidates should have at least one year of professional experience and a nurturing personality. A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, along with intermediate computer skills.
