A Substitute Teacher is responsible for teaching and supervising students in the absence of the regular teacher. They must follow lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, and ensure the safety and well-being of students. The substitute teacher helps maintain continuity in the educational process and may work across various grade levels and subject areas while reporting to the principal.

Job Responsibilities Classroom Instruction

Follow the lesson plan provided by the absent teacher or school administration. Deliver instructional content to students using the appropriate materials, tools, and resources. Adapt lessons and activities as needed to meet the needs of students.

Classroom Management

Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment. Enforce school rules and policies to ensure the smooth functioning of the class. Manage student behavior and address any disruptions using appropriate methods.

Student Engagement

Actively engage students in learning activities to encourage participation. Provide guidance and support to students to help them understand the material.

Assessments and Feedback

Monitor student progress and provide feedback as directed by the lesson plan. Administer quizzes, tests, and other assessments if needed. Submit completed work and any necessary reports to the regular teacher or school administration.

Communication

Communicate effectively with students, school staff, and administrators. Report any issues or incidents during the day, such as conflicts or accidents, to the appropriate personnel.

Safety and Well-being

Ensure the physical and emotional safety of students at all times. Follow any specific health, safety, or emergency protocols as required by the school. Job Requirements
