$20.00 (30 hours per week)
Medical, dental, vision, FSA, voluntary life, STD, LTD, Legal Plan, Pet Insurance available the first of the month following thirty (30) days of employment, 403(B), tuition reimbursement, accrued personal and sick time and holidays.
Under the direction of the Director of Education, the teacher assistant will be responsible for daily classroom management to support both teachers and students.
Responsibilities: Helping teachers with lesson preparation including collecting materials and setting up equipment
Reviewing lessons or lectures with students on a 1: 1 basis or in a small group
Supervising students in class, between class, during recreation periods, field trips and out of routine when needed
Tracking attendance, grading assignments and calculating grades
Giving extra help to students who need special accommodations or struggling with a concept
Assisting students with special learning requirements, including disabilities
Attend faculty meetings
Collaborating with the teacher to identify student issues and recommend solutions
Adhering to state, school and classroom rules and regulations

High school diploma OR GED required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; NYS teaching assistant certification preferred or willingness to obtain required.
