The program staff will assist in providing engaging social, recreational, and educational activities for children aged 5 to 13. Additional duties include maintaining EEC regulatory compliance, performing light cleaning, and providing academic support.
School Aged Child Care, Lead Staff, at the Kids Club (Boys & Girls Club of Worcester) located at 180 Constitution Avenue, Worcester, MA.
Part time, Monday-Friday, 2pm-6pm.
As required by EEC licensing, all applicants must be at least 21 years old.
Program Staff will assist with providing fun and engaging social, recreational, and educational activities to children ages 5 -13.
Additional responsibilities include complying with EEC regulations.
This position is a part time year-round position.
The School Age Child Care program staff person must have reliable transportation.
Hours of operating are Monday - Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm, excluding school vacation weeks and summer break.
This is an excellent entry level position for a motivated individual who is interested in working with youth.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. (per EEC regulations) Preferred but not required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, Preferred but not required: One year experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people. Confidence in providing academic support, as needed, to members. Competency in navigating remote learning tools, technology equipment and modes of instruction. Strong computer skills Communication skills: Informing, Listening, Writing CPR and First Aid certifications, preferred. Bilingual preferred (Spanish & English) but not required. All applicants will be required to pass a criminal offender record information check (CORI), a national background check and will need to be fingerprinted in accordance with EEC regulations.
