Job Responsibilities
Assist teacher in planning, designing, and implementing curriculum.
Provide assistance as directed by the lead teacher.
Instruct classroom in accordance with lesson plans.
Assist in the supervision of students directed by the lead teacher.
Assist students during lunchtime.
Implement age-appropriate activities and monitor safety throughout.
Maintain student records and perform other clerical duties as directed.
Help maintain a clean and organized classroom.
Assist students in social skills development.
Assist in putting up bulletin boards.
Assist in student bathroom breaks.
Take attendance and make copies as directed by the lead teacher.
Operate equipment such as projectors, iPad, and computers.
Assist in maintaining classroom management plan.
Prepare and distribute work as directed by the lead teacher.
Provide guidance and redirection as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
State of Florida law requires fingerprinting and clearance through the Florida DOE Background Screening Clearinghouse for all school-based positions.
