Job Responsibilities

• Activity
• Services:
• Complete an activity assessment on each new admission within five days.
• Provide homework support for students. o Document bi-weekly a summary of each youth's participation in recreation activities.
• Coordinate afternoon activities for students participating in Afterschool Care.
• Provide recreation groups as scheduled.
• Administrative
• Services: o Attend Afterschool planning meetings as necessary.
• Provide leadership and direction to direct care staff in how to plan and facilitate therapeutic recreational activities for the youth.
• Monitor activity implementation and evaluate activity for safety and care of youth.
• Attend weekly recreation planning and instructional meetings with Recreation Coordinator.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and accountability for all recreational and physical education equipment for the CARES Cetnter and CARES School.
• Inventory recreational supplies monthly, replenishing as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English, and to communicate professional manner. Must be able to work afternoons and early evenings.
