The therapist provides specialized instruction and services to children with visual impairments through a modeling and coaching method. They are responsible for maintaining clinical records, collaborating with the early intervention team, and supporting families through the IFSP process.
The Developmental-Vision Therapist (DT-V) or Developmental Therapist will provide specialized instruction and services to meet the developmental/educational needs of children (birth-three years of age) with visual impairments by developing unique instructional strategies to support children & family to meet the individualized family plan.
Chicago and surrounding southern, west, and northern suburbs.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or Early Childhood Education and possess a State of Illinois Early Intervention credential. Preference is given to those with LBS 1 certification, an endorsement in blind/visual impairment, and bilingual Spanish/English skills.
