High School Diploma required Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field preferred Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred Previous experience working with toddlers or young children in a licensed childcare, preschool, or early learning setting preferred Strong understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills Excellent communication skills with children, families, and colleagues Ability to work collaboratively with a teaching partner and school leadership Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid NC Qualifying Letter Must meet all North Carolina childcare licensing and training requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with the care of children Make a Difference Every Day At The Goddard School of Cary Lochmere, our teachers are more than employees.
