Market context
Illinois schools regularly need paraprofessionals to support classroom instruction, student behavior, and individualized learning, especially in settings serving diverse and neurodiverse learners. These roles are competitive because districts often look for candidates who combine a high school diploma or GED with strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability; prior experience with neurodiverse students can help.
