Teaching Assistant, Physical Therapy Time Type: Part time Position Summary and Qualifications: Teaching assistants will work with core faculty in the Department of Physical Therapy for such roles as assisting in lab courses, simulations, interprofessional educational experiences, clinical education, grading, and provision of student feedback. Duties & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on instructional support in laboratory-based courses for 2–4 hours per week. Assist faculty in demonstrating clinical skills and guiding student practice. Offer feedback to students on technique, safety, and clinical reasoning. Assess students on clinical skills during competencies and practicals. Communicate regularly with course instructors regarding lab content and expectations. Maintain a professional and collaborative presence during lab sessions. Areas of Instruction May Include: ● Orthopedic physical therapy ● Neurologic rehabilitation ● Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation ● General physical therapy examination and intervention techniques ● Specialty topics (e.g., movement analysis/biomechanics, pediatrics, geriatrics, vestibular, pelvic health, integumentary care, or others as needed)

Minimum Qualifications

Required: ● Current license to practice physical therapy ● Demonstrated clinical expertise in one or more of the content areas listed above ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ● Commitment to the mission of Saint Joseph’s University and to student-centered education Preferred: ● Prior teaching, clinical teaching or mentoring experience

The offered salary will be commensurate with work experience and educational background.
