The Oral Proficiency Leader will conduct weekly 50-minute speaking practice sessions for Mandarin Chinese and Japanese students. They are responsible for facilitating language activities, maintaining attendance records, and attending semesterly training orientations.
Meet with the OPC students weekly for 50-minute sessions to practice speaking. Each session is allotted up to 10 minutes paid prep time. Conduct activities designed to encourage language students to communicate in the relevant foreign language. All activities should be conducted in the target language. All written materials should be in the target language. Keep careful records of attendance and participation and submit these records on a weekly basis. Attend a training orientation each semester.
