Support the Clinical Educator by delivering system-wide clinical education, including AHA courses and Mock Code sessions. Provide feedback to staff and managers to improve clinical outcomes and ensure all training adheres to evidence-based criteria.
In this role you will support the RN and Clinical Educator by extending system-wide clinical education to staff and Facility Administrators (FAs) on an adjunct, as-needed basis. This includes assisting with AHA courses (ACLS, PALS, and BLS), Mock Codes/Quarterly staff mandated education, and other educational offerings as assigned. This role reports to the Clinical Educator, with content and scheduling coordinated in partnership with the CNO.
Duties/Responsibilities: Co-facilitate or independently deliver scheduled BLS/ACLS/PALS classes and Mock Code sessions per the calendar maintained by the Nurse Educator. Provide feedback to staff and managers following Mock Codes and training sessions to support improved clinical outcomes. Assist with delivering education on topics related to emergency care as directed by the Nurse Educator. Provide skills demonstrations and competency checkoffs for staff as needed. Communicate training outcomes, attendance, and feedback to the Nurse Educator. Complete all necessary nursing documentation in accordance with policy and emergency room standards. Use a variety of teaching methods to facilitate learning, seeking out expertise of other agencies as appropriate. Ensure that all teaching delivered uses Evidence Based criteria through Peer Reviewed sites. Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Educator, CNO, CMO, or other members of the executive team. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two (2) years of registered nurse and/or emergency room nursing experience. Current RN license within the state of practice. CPR/BLS Instructor Certification required. ACLS Instructor Certification preferred. PALS Instructor Certification preferred. TNCC preferred but not required. Stop The Bleed® Instructor preferred. ENA preferred but not required. ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) preferred but not required. Employment Status: This is an adjunct/PRN position, compensated on an hourly or per-session basis, with scheduling coordinated around clinical and training needs across Ally Medical sites.
