In this role you will support the district's center-based program, supporting middle school through transition-aged students with significant disabilities. Ideal candidates will be comfortable working with students requiring higher levels of support and have familiarity with AAC (high tech and low tech devices).
Provide full-time speech and language therapy services, Monday-Friday. Conduct evaluations, develop individualized educational plans (IEPs), and implement evidence-based interventions to address speech and language developmental needs. Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support students’ communication skills across both classroom and individual settings. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders. Utilize IEP system for management and compliance. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities. Enjoy a dedicated office space for therapy sessions and planning.
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or in the process of completing). Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Michigan (LARA). Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or eligibility to obtain CCC-SLP.
