The Employment Coach provides personalized support, coaching, and training to help individuals achieve meaningful employment and community integration. They are responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring services align with Person-Centered Support Plans.
$16 per hour based on experience. Monday - Friday, (weekends as needed) (25-32 hours per week)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma (or equivalent). Six months’ experience in a field or closely related field. Enabling Technology Integration Specialist (ETIS) preferred. Obtain and maintain Training Resource Network Certification (TRN) Must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license with a good driving record. Duties may require occasional after-hours work and travel to organizational sites. Required training/certifications provided by the organization including CPR/First Aid.

This position reports directly to the Community Manager and may also receive guidance from the Vocational Development Manager or Workforce Innovation Director. Employment Coaches are responsible for implementing supports and services as directed by supervisory staff and outlined in the Person-Centered Support Plans (PCSP), therapy plans, and behavior support strategies. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but is expected to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, Vocational Development Manager, and Innovation Program staff. Maintains active communication with people receiving services, their Circle of Support (COS), employers, and agency staff to ensure effective service delivery and alignment with the Person-Centered Support Plan (PCSP). Employment Coaches participate in team meetings and provide feedback to support ongoing quality improvement, safety, and person-centered planning. Employment Coaches are expected to maintain professional boundaries, follow the chain of command, and seek supervisory input when challenges or emergencies arise. Responsible for completing all assigned tasks with accuracy and timeliness in accordance with Emory Valley Center policies, Vocational Rehabilitation expectations, and regulatory requirements. Expected to model appropriate work and community behavior, professional dress, and respectful communication in all employment settings and community interactions.
