The Karate Instructor will deliver engaging, safe, and effective group exercise classes to inspire members and promote healthy lifestyles. They are responsible for fostering a positive community environment while ensuring all safety regulations and facility standards are upheld.
Minimum Age: 21+ years old. Education & Experience: Preferred: Two- or four-year degree in health, exercise science, recreation, or physical activity-related field. Coursework in human anatomy, exercise physiology, and kinesiology preferred. Up to 2 years of experience in aerobic/anaerobic and strength conditioning required. Experience teaching or practicing karate required.
First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).
