After-School Sports & Enrichment Instructor Part-Time | After-School Programs | Sports & Classroom Enrichment We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and dependable After-School Sports & Enrichment Instructor to join our team! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has experience in summer camps or after-school programs, and feels comfortable leading a variety of sports and classroom-based enrichment activities. Our instructors work with elementary-aged students and should be comfortable adapting activities to different ages, skill levels, and group sizes. Activities May Include: Tennis Golf Lacrosse Flag Football Other recreational sports and games Little Medical School classroom-based STEM/medical enrichment activities
Lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate sports and enrichment activities Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all students Teach basic skills, rules, teamwork, and sportsmanship Manage groups of children safely and confidently Transition students between activities and maintain an organized program Follow provided lesson plans and curriculum while bringing your own energy and creativity Lead classroom activities when teaching Little Medical School Communicate professionally with program staff, school personnel, and parents when appropriate Maintain a safe and positive environment at all times
Experience working with children in after-school programs, summer camps, recreation programs, coaching, teaching, or similar settings Comfortable teaching or leading multiple sports, even if you are not an expert in every sport Confident managing groups of elementary-aged children Energetic, patient, responsible, and enthusiastic Strong communication and classroom-management skills Comfortable learning and following established curricula Ability to work independently while also being part of a team CPR/First Aid certification is a plus Sports coaching, education, recreation, camp counseling, or teaching experience is a plus Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can wear many hats — an instructor who can go from teaching tennis or lacrosse on the field to leading an engaging classroom activity with Little Medical School students. You don't need to be an expert in every activity. We are looking for someone who is athletic, adaptable, enthusiastic about working with children, and willing to learn.
