About the role

The Preschool Teacher will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment while fostering the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children. Responsibilities include planning developmentally appropriate curriculum, maintaining licensing compliance, and building strong relationships with families.

Position Description

AppliedKid’s is seeking a dedicated and creative Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

In this role, you will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for preschool-aged children while fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities Supervise preschool children at all times while ensuring compliance with licensing, safety, and accreditation standards.

Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities that meet the needs of the whole child and reflect individual interests.

Collaborate with teaching team members to design, evaluate, and enhance classroom routines, curriculum, and learning environments in accordance with ITERS, ECERS, and QRIS guidelines.

Build strong relationships with families through regular communication, parent-teacher meetings, and developmental updates.

Maintain accurate child records, assessments, and documentation in alignment with Community Care Licensing Title 22” Create a culturally responsive and inclusive classroom that promotes respect and celebrates diversity.

Participate in professional development, training, and staff meetings to implement early education best practices.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes

Minimum of 12 core semester units in ECE plus 3 units in Infant/Toddler studies. Eligible for the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Child Development Program Associate Teacher Permit or higher. Experience working with preschool children in a licensed childcare center. Compliance with all health, background check, and immunization requirements for childcare employment.

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or equivalent experience. Familiar with California Infant/Toddler Preschool Foundations and California Health and Human Services' Community Care Licensing Division Title 22, Division 12.
