Job responsibilities

  • Lead
  • Restorative
  • Sessions: Facilitate engaging and interactive restorative justice circles, discussions, and activities designed to help students develop conflict resolution skills and foster a supportive school environment.
  • Curriculum
  • Implementation: Adapt and implement restorative justice curriculum and materials to meet the needs of students and school communities.
  • Student
  • Support: Assess student needs through one-on-one and group interactions, offering guidance to support their social-emotional growth and conflict resolution skills.
  • Collaboration: Work in partnership with Study Smart Tutors' Education team, school staff, educators, and counselors to provide comprehensive restorative justice strategies tailored to each school community.

  • Positive
  • Behavior: Motivate and support students, helping them build self-awareness, empathy, and constructive communication skills.

Qualifications

  • MUST hold a completed 4-year degree
  • Graduate students in school counseling, social work, education, or a related field are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in school settings, preferably in counseling, social-emotional learning, or restorative justice practices
  • In-person availability is required
  • Comfortable implementing various engagement strategies tailored to diverse student populations.
  • Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.
