About the role

The tutor will provide academic support in Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies to 8th-grade students in small and large groups. They will also collaborate with the Education team to implement learning strategies and maintain consistent communication with staff.

Job responsibilities

  • Subjects to be taught: Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies
  • Grades: 8th Grade
  • Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
  • Tutors will have access to information about class assignments
  • Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies
  • Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart Tutors staff
  • Partner with Study Smart Tutor’s Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to all students

Qualifications

  • MUST hold a completed 4-year degree
  • Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired
  • In-person availability is required
  • Seeking availability Mondays through Fridays from during/afterschool hours.
  • Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.
