Our Swim Instructors enable a lifetime of water safety and opportunity by teaching the joy and skill of swimming to a wide range of children and adults. If you are passionate about making a difference, we want to hear from you! In this position, you will spend your time working directly with children and teaching them swimming skills in accordance with the SafeSplash and SwimLabs curriculum in a fun, positive manor. This is an in-the-water position and affords you the opportunity to forge relationships with your swimmers as they come each week for their swim lesson. Key Responsibilities: · Providing continuous, positive corrective feedback to students on their swimming efforts. · Structuring class time to incorporate repetition, reinforcement, and introduction of new skills. · Keeping a watchful eye on all students in class to ensure swimmer safety. · Maintaining and updating skill cards as students progress through the curriculum.
· An abundance mindset that embraces challenges and is comfortable being uncomfortable. · Strong passion for teaching and working with children, ensuring a fun and engaging learning environment. · Ability to motivate and encourage children. · Currently certified, or be willing to get certified, in CPR. · Previous swimming experience is a plus but not a requirement.
Open shifts are available during the days and times below. The start and end times as well as shift duration is flexible. New swim instructors can expect as a little as one but up to four shifts per week.
Candidates should have a passion for teaching children and the ability to motivate students in an engaging environment. While previous swimming experience is a plus, applicants must be willing to obtain CPR certification.
