The student assistant will provide technical support for faculty, staff, and students by maintaining and repairing computers, printers, and other electronic devices. Responsibilities include resolving hardware and software issues, managing computer labs, and updating inventory systems.
The College of Arts and Letters IT team at CSUSB is searching for a student employee to assist in providing technical support for the faculty, staff, and students from 9 departments. The student assistant will work directly with the Head IT Consultant to ensure the smooth operation of all printers, computers, and any other electronic devices for the college.
The student assistant will also assist with updating, maintaining, and repairing several computer labs across campus. This includes installing software, replacing mice and keyboards, and cleaning the physical machine for both Mac and Windows.
Work hours will be decided at the beginning of each quarter, depending on the student’s class schedule. A maximum of 20 hours per week may be worked when the class schedule allows it. The student assistant will primarily be working in University Hall, but tasks are frequently given all over campus.
$16.90 per hour.
The compensation offered will consider internal equity and experience among other factors.
