About the role

The instructor provides teaching and guidance for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) courses. They are responsible for preparing classrooms and supplies while adhering to American Heart Association criteria.

  • Description: The purpose of this position is to provide instruction for Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Essential
  • FUNCTIONS: Provides teaching and guidance to students taking ACLS and/or PALS courses. Ensures classroom and supplies are prepared for class. Follows teaching criteria outlined by the American Heart Association (AHA). Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • REQUIRED: Certified ACLS and or PALS provider. Current ACLS or PALS Instructor certifications or the ability to obtain with in 3 months of hire. Ability to teach at a minimum of 1 class per month. Ability to attend an annual, mandatory skills training/maintenance and sign-off session. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Previous teaching/training experience preferred. Requirements

Candidates must be certified ACLS or PALS providers and hold or be able to obtain an instructor certification within three months. The role requires the ability to teach at least one class per month and attend annual mandatory skills training.
