Job Title: PharmD Recruitment and Admissions Specialist Department: Pharmacy | Professional Studies Under the leadership of the Assistant Director for Recruitment and Admissions, the PharmD Admissions Recruiter represents The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy through daily interactions and communications with prospective and newly matriculated students, as well as provides support throughout the application and admissions process.

The PharmD Admissions Recruiter creates and implements recruitment strategies to reach prospective students through events, referrals, online and print communications, and outreach to pharmacy professionals and organizations.

The PharmD Admissions Recruiter will be responsible for planning admissions and yield events which may include but are not limited to PharmD overviews, application workshops, calling campaigns, postcard campaigns, and university-sponsored and off-campus events which will require travel.

The PharmD Admissions Recruiter is responsible for scheduling and planning PharmD interview days and plays a critical role in the day-of management of these events.

This position works closely with the faculty-composed Admissions Committee, communicating admissions information, garnering recruitment event support, and acting as a liaison between candidates and the committee's decisions.

This role conducts initial application review; moves applicants through the recruitment pipeline; and communicates admission decisions.

This position oversees the PharmD Student Ambassador Program, including the management of approximately 3 PharmD student ambassador coordinators; and facilitates the recruitment, selection, and activities of ~35 student admissions ambassadors.

This position supports various initiatives and programs within the Office of Recruitment and Admissions.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

A minimum of 2 years working within higher education; experience working with graduate or professional students; student supervision experience; experience developing and implementing best practices in recruitment and admissions; able to manage multiple priorities; and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel or related field.

Additional Information

The pay range for this job profile is $20.24 - $26.44 per hour. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications. The College of Pharmacy believes in a healthy work/life balance, therefore, the work arrangement for this position is hybrid (i.e., remote and in-office), subject to change based upon the needs of the organization and as determined by College Leadership.
