About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for one of our school campus in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, ensuring they have access to a high-quality education in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide direct instruction and support in academic and functional skills Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment Maintain accurate records and comply with district/state requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred) Valid Missouri teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with students with disabilities Strong communication and collaboration skills Knowledge of behavior management and instructional strategies

Requirements
