The Extended Day Teacher provides attentive supervision and implements age-appropriate activities for 1st and 2nd grade students in a safe, nurturing environment. They also collaborate with staff, communicate with parents, and maintain an organized classroom space.
Ravenscroft is seeking a part-time Extended Day Teacher to join our Extended Day Program. This position works Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM and plays an integral role in supporting the safety, well-being, and enrichment of our youngest learners after school.
The Extended Day Teacher supports the implementation of planned activities and provides attentive supervision to ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for students. This part-time role is based on Ravenscroft’s campus and includes work in classrooms, outdoor play areas, and shared community spaces. The position requires the ability to move throughout campus, actively supervise children, engage in physical activities with students, and communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and families. Occasional additional hours may be required on Early Release Days and Teacher Workdays. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
Candidates should have experience working with young children and possess strong communication skills. A background or degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
