About the role

The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct evaluations and screenings while developing and monitoring individualized education program (IEP) goals. They will also deliver direct therapy and collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary staff to support student communication.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech-language pathology evaluations and screenings for students in K-12.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals and therapy plans.
  • Deliver direct therapy and provide consultative services to students, teachers, and families.
  • Collect and document progress data, maintain timely notes, and communicate findings to the IEP team.
  • Collaborate with educators, family members, and multidisciplinary staff to support student communication goals.
  • Maintain compliance with district policies, state regulations, and professional standards for school-based SLP practice.

Requirements

  • Active Oregon SLP license (no Educational Certification required)
  • Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (standard credential for the profession)
  • Experience: School-based or K-12 setting experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a K-12 school setting and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Must be able to meet assignment requirements and background standards for a school-based role
