Overview Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) – Full-Time or Part-Time | $50–$55/hr |2026–2027 School Year HealthPRO Pediatrics is hiring a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a school-based opportunity serving a geographic cluster of schools. We are looking for a qualified TVI with strong experience supporting students with visual impairments. Braille skills are a priority for this position.
Full-time preferred; part-time candidates will also be considered (W2 Employment) $50–$55/hour (Negotiable) 7.5 hours per day | Approximately 35 hours per week School-based position serving students across a geographic cluster of schools Provide vision services as identified in student IEPs Caseload assignments based on candidate strengths and experience Attend IEP and other required meetings virtually when appropriate to minimize travel and maximize time with students Braille proficiency strongly preferred Participation in required professional development days
Consult and collaborate with School staff and families in regards to students’ educational deficits Conduct initial screenings as well as comprehensive evaluations Participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for Special Education services Provide Special Education sessions through the use of current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP Maintain all documentation required by the district including, but not limited to, notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEP’s Note: This job description does not list all the duties of the position. Must hold a current license to teach in the state of state Maryland. Have successful experience working with culturally diverse families.
