About the Role

Little Sprouts Academy in Eastpointe, MI is looking for a passionate and dedicated GSRP Teacher to join our early childhood education team! This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners by delivering high-quality, state-funded preschool programming. If you love nurturing young minds and creating engaging learning environments, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) curriculum standards Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment for preschool-aged children Conduct ongoing child assessments and maintain accurate developmental records and portfolios Collaborate with families through regular communication, home visits, and parent-teacher conferences Partner with co-teachers and support staff to deliver integrated, play-based learning experiences Ensure compliance with GSRP program guidelines, licensing requirements, and quality standards Participate in professional development, team meetings, and coaching sessions

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required per GSRP guidelines) Valid Michigan teaching certificate or ZA endorsement in Early Childhood Education preferred Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in a structured classroom setting Familiarity with GSRP, HighScope, or other evidence-based early childhood curricula Strong communication and relationship-building skills with families and community partners Ability to conduct child screenings and developmental assessments Warm, patient, and child-centered approach to teaching and classroom management About Us: Little Sprouts Academy is a trusted early childhood education center proudly serving the Eastpointe, MI community with a commitment to giving every child the best possible start in life.
