Louis.Job Summary A Substitute Teacher is responsible for teaching and supervising students in the absence of the regular teacher.

They must follow lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, and ensure the safety and well-being of students.

The substitute teacher helps maintain continuity in the educational process and may work across various grade levels and subject areasJob Responsibilities

Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the absent teacher or school administration.

Deliver instructional content using appropriate teaching materials, tools, and classroom resources.

Adapt lessons, activities, and instructional approaches to support the diverse learning needs of students.

Maintain a safe, respectful, organized, and productive classroom environment.

Enforce school rules, policies, and classroom expectations consistently and appropriately.

Monitor and manage student behavior, addressing disruptions and conflicts in a professional manner.

Engage students in learning activities that encourage participation, collaboration, and academic growth.

Provide guidance, clarification, and support to help students understand instructional material and complete assignments.

Monitor student progress and provide appropriate feedback based on lesson objectives and classroom activities.

Administer quizzes, tests, and other assessments as directed by the regular teacher or school administration.

Collect and submit completed student work, assessments, and required documentation to the regular teacher or designated administrator.

Communicate effectively and professionally with students, teachers, school staff, and administrators.

Report classroom concerns, student conflicts, accidents, behavioral incidents, or other issues to the appropriate school personnel.

Maintain awareness of student needs and respond appropriately to academic, behavioral, and social concerns.

Promote and support the physical and emotional safety and well-being of all students.

Follow all school health, safety, emergency, and security procedures and protocols.

Perform other classroom and student-support duties as assigned by school administration.

Job Requirements

Classroom Instruction

Follow lesson plans provided by the absent teacher or school administration. Deliver instructional content using appropriate materials, tools, and resources. Adapt lessons and activities as needed to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

Classroom Management

Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment. Enforce school rules and policies and manage student behavior using appropriate classroom management techniques.

Student Engagement

Engage students in learning activities and encourage active participation. Provide guidance, clarification, and support to help students understand instructional materials and complete assignments.

Assessments and Feedback

Monitor student progress and provide feedback in accordance with lesson plans and instructional objectives. Administer quizzes, tests, and other assessments as required. Submit completed student work and necessary reports to the regular teacher or school administration.

Communication

Communicate effectively and professionally with students, teachers, school staff, and administrators. Report student concerns, conflicts, accidents, behavioral issues, or other incidents to the appropriate personnel.

Safety and Well-being

Maintain the physical and emotional safety and well-being of students at all times. Follow school health, safety, emergency, and security procedures and protocols.
