The Special Education Teacher will collaborate with staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for Pre-K–8th grade students. They are responsible for delivering specialized instruction, assessing student progress, and maintaining regular communication with caregivers.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with educators, therapists, specialists, and school support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide specialized instruction and support for Pre-K–8th grade students
Deliver instruction aligned with IEP goals using engaging, differentiated teaching methods
Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and tools to address the individual needs of each student
Establish clear learning objectives, assess student progress, and maintain accurate records
Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student development and support home-based reinforcement strategies

Requirements

Must hold an active Minnesota Special Education teaching certificate/license; pending credentials will not be accepted.
Current BLS/CPR certification
Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience within the past 5 years
