Varsity track and field assistant coach - Pole vault
Durham Academy is accepting applications for part-time varsity assistant track coach with a specialization in pole vault.
Teaching, coaching, and mentoring 5-10 high school athletes participating in the pole vault event. Will report directly to the Head Coaches.
· Experience competing as a pole vault athlete at the high school or college level.
· Can teach basic, intermediate, and advanced skills regarding mechanics, technique, and form.
· Must be able to develop and implement workouts appropriate for varying skill levels.
· Ability to communicate and work well with other coaches, parents, and student-athletes.
· Enjoy helping student-athletes reach their potential.
· Must have valid driver’s license.
· Attend practices and meets.
When: · February-Mid May
· Practice times Monday through Friday, 3: 30 to 5:30
· No weekend responsibilities other than attending the Conference and State Meet at the end of the season
