The Associate Educator (AE): Works with an individual student and small groups of students to implement lessons or practice in reading, writing, and math in person Effectively motivates students to complete work and progress in their learning toward learning goals Facilitates lunch and recess duty Maintains a positive classroom culture by working effectively with students and staff of all backgrounds Supports the development of English language development, positive behaviors and social/emotional skills, in accordance with students' learning plans. Provides positive reinforcement and helps students build independence. Collaborates effectively with a variety of colleagues. Effectively collects and maintains evidence of student growth and other data.
Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree or higher OR high school diploma/G.E.D with at least 60 college credits OR successful completion of Parapro examination (Required) Experience working with preschool, elementary, or middle school students (Preferred) Can independently lead small groups and will be flexible and adaptive in problem solving to meet students' needs (Preferred) Excellent communication skills and will collaborate effectively (Preferred)
