About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Middle School Music Teacher to lead the Chorus program. The teacher will inspire students through vocal music instruction, foster a love of performance, and build a strong, inclusive classroom culture.

Responsibilities

• Teach chorus classes to middle school students.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Prepare students for concerts, performances, and community events.
• Foster student growth in vocal technique, music literacy, and ensemble skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families, and school leadership to support student success.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field (Master’s preferred). Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Music (K‑12 or appropriate endorsement). Experience directing middle school chorus ensembles preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Compensation & Benefits:
