About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners in Faison, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the lead teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of children.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved training program for early childhood education.
  • Experience working with young children in a classroom setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and support staff
  • Enrollment in an associate/bachelor’s degree program or enrolled in CDA credential or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field
  • Pre-School Child Development Associate (CDA) or state equivalency
  • Experience working with diverse populations of children and families
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all children in the classroom.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth of children.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom that is conducive to learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care by following all health and safety guidelines and protocols
