Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language evaluations, screenings, and diagnostic assessments Provide individualized and small-group speech and language therapy Complete preschool child-development diagnostics, primarily related to articulation Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Create measurable goals based on students’ individual communication needs Provide developmentally appropriate services to preschool-aged students Support students with articulation, speech, language, social communication, fluency, voice, and augmentative communication needs Track student progress and maintain accurate service documentation Prepare evaluation reports, progress reports, and other required records Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and multidisciplinary team planning Collaborate with the other assigned SLP, teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers Provide communication strategies and consultation to classroom staff and families Ensure services comply with state, federal, and district requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Valid Washington State Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility to obtain one Valid Washington Educational Staff Associate certificate or eligibility to obtain one Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply Must have current fingerprints on file with OSPI or be willing to complete Must provide at least two supervisory references Experience with preschool students, articulation evaluations, or school-based services preferred Strong assessment, communication, documentation, organization, and collaboration skills Benefits & Perks: Paid Sick Leave Healthcare Benefits
