Key Responsibilities. Instruct and work with athletes with guidance from the head coach to prepare them for competition The assistant coach role is responsible for assisting the head coach in all phases of the sport program that include player development, team strategy and more Demonstrate leadership by implementing of expectations and direction of the program Preparation of team for competition Attend all practices and games Assist with set up and take down of equipment for practices and games Complete all required training and provide documentation as well as official college transcripts within 90 days of hire date Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance by adhering to assigned work hours, reporting on time, and following proper procedures for absences or tardiness to ensure minimal disruption to students, colleagues, and school operations Demonstrate proficiency in both written and spoken English to effectively perform their job responsibilities and communicate in the workplace Perform other duties as assigned Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Previous coaching experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the sport Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of individuals. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
