Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - DHH - School Setting

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join a dedicated educational team in Yelm, WA. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing educational programs that meet the individualized needs of students with hearing loss. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the IEP team to assess student needs and design, implement, and monitor individualized instructional plans
• Support mainstream integration by providing consultation and services to general and special education teachers
• Deliver direct instruction in small group or individual settings in alignment with IEP goals
• Develop and apply effective instructional strategies, materials, and techniques to support student learning
• Maintain consistent communication with staff, families, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive support system

Requirements

• Active state licensure in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or Manually Coded English
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 5 years
